Now operating under new ownership and a new name...

Route 8 Roadhouse... formerly known as Vernon and Ruby's Tavern, has been a favorite neighborhood bar where friends and family have gathered to have a drink and party for more than 20 years.

Route 8 Roadhouse offers a quaint charm and friendliness where everyone is treated like family.

While remaining open for business, or partying as we prefer to call it, renovations are being made which include... a diner style dining area (already completed) with a new kitchen under construction.

The interior has been given a facelift and the back yard fenced and patios built. A Wood Fired BBQ Pit will be constructed as soon as weather permits.

This summer we'll have some great outdoor barbecue parties and play horseshoes, darts and corn toss.

Harold and Brenda want to hear your ideas and suggestions, whether it be for the food menu, additional drink selections, or your music preference, and especially entertainment ideas.

It is our goal to have something special happening every night of the week to make Route 8 Roadhouse the most fun, entertaining, and enjoyable hangout in Melbourne Ky.

Along with your favorite mixed drinks or beer... we currently offer Tombstone pizza, prepackaged sandwiches, and a variety of snacks, while we're waiting for the kitchen remodeling to be completed.

Route 8 Roadhouse is located about 8 miles east of Newport. We're just a couple blocks off State Route 8 (also known as Mary Ingles Hwy.) ... hence the name Route 8 Roadhouse.

If you're heading east on Route 8 turn left at the fire dept. and look for us on the left just before the RR tracks.
